Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of a Snow Groomer at its Site at Mahlasela Pass.

Job Responsibilities

You will:

Winter Season: Nightly Grooming duties of Ski Slopes, Pre-Pisten-Bully Checks, Fuelling.
Machine operation: Operating machines correctly and in a good manner.
Snow grooming: The primary responsibility of a snow groomer is to groom and maintain the
snow surface on ski slopes. This involves smoothing out bumps, redistributing snow, and creating an even and consistent surface for skiing and snowboarding
Trail preparation: Before the slopes open to the public, snow groomers prepare the trails by
shaping the snow and clearing any obstacles or debris that may have accumulated.

Requirements:

Grade 12 or international equivalent.

Physically fit and mobile with no back, leg or arm problems.

Must be able to read, speak and understand English.

Ability to learn to use job related equipment and machinery within set time frames.

Able to listen, understand and carry out work instructions correctly and on time.

Able and willing to live at the resort if and when necessary.

Able and willing to work overtime.

Must be familiar with Health and Safety rules preferably in a similar environment.
