Ski Technicians

Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of a Ski Technicians at its Site at Mahlasela Pass.

Job Responsibilities

You will:

Ensure that all ski/snowboard equipment is serviced and repaired accordingly.
Ensure that guests get fitted with correct equipment and set equipment correctly according to ski/snowboard specifications.
Ensure that equipment that is rented for more than one day stay at the ski depot and label it accordingly or advice ski instructors about any equipment that need to stay at the overnight ski/snowboard depot.
Make sure that barcodes are placed on every equipment and grade all the equipment according to their quality.
Ensure that issued equipment is scanned out and in when is returned and check for any necessary repairs or service on every equipment that is returned.
Receive all visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Offer them best service.
Ensure that no food is eaten in ski rental whilst visitors are in Rental area and that No Smoking rule is adhered to.
Ensure that staff do not enter into confidential discussions in and around the Rental area when visitors/clients are in the Rental area.
Ensure that staff do not stand around and chat in the Rental area.
Assist in training new rental staff members or ski instructors who came to help in rental.
Those who can ski are expected to help in ski school if need be.

Above average verbal and written Communication skills in English and at least 1 African language.

Good listening skills to understand and carry out instructions correctly and accurately.

Be able to set and fit ski equipment according to guests weight, height and ski/snowboard experience.
