Ski & Snowboard Rental Supervisor

Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of a Ski & Snowboard Rental Supervisor at its Site at Mahlasela Pass. The Ski Rental Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ski rental department, ensuring efficient service delivery, accurate cash handling, equipment control, and exceptional guest experience. The role includes supervising rental staff, managing stock levels, and maintaining operational standards.

Job Responsibilities

You will:

  • Supervise and coordinate ski rental staff during shifts.
  • Ensure the accurate processing of rental transactions and proper cash balancing.
  • Oversee equipment issuance, returns, and condition control.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or damages.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues professionally.
  • Train and mentor rental assistants and cashiers.
  • Prepare daily operational and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Assist with seasonal planning and staffing during peak periods.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent).
  • Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or related field (advantageous).
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in retail, hospitality, or rental operations.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong cash-handling and reconciliation skills.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
