Ski Rental Cashier

Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the Ski Rental Cashiers positions at its Site at Mahlasela Pass.

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Ski Rental Cashier to manage rental transactions, handle payments accurately, and provide excellent service to guests hiring ski and snowboard equipment. The ideal candidate must be trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Job Responsibilities

You will:

  • Process ski and snowboard rental payments accurately.
  • Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
  • Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Process card payments and other electronic transactions.
  • Assist customers with rental forms and basic enquiries.
  • Work closely with ski technicians and rental assistants to ensure smooth operations.
  • Report any discrepancies, shortages, or payment issues immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cashier area.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent).
  • Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
  • Strong numerical and cash-handling skills
  • Honest, reliable, and responsible
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic computer literacy
