Scullery

Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of a Scullery at its Site at Mahlasela Pass.

Job Responsibilities

You will:

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
Help set up banquet tables and buffet areas.
Sweep or scrub floors.
Clean rubbish bins with water.
Sort and remove rubbish, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas.
Receive and store supplies.
Help with kitchen stock takes when needed.
Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
Help keep public areas clean, neat & tidy.
Always be on time and keep your appearance as neat as possible.

Must be able to work well as a team with kitchen staff to ensure that customers receive prompt service.

Must have the ability to learn relevant floor clearing skills to help maintain a high level of guest experience.

Must be able to listen, understand and carry out instructions correctly and on time.

Must be able to follow all company rules and regulations and be aware of all health and safety procedures. As per the Afriski Mountain Resort “Terms and Conditions Of Employment” booklet.

Must be willing to live on the resort for certain periods of time (3months over the winter season if seasonal staff or full time if full time employee).
