Public Relations & Entertainment Manager

Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of Public Relations & Entertainment Manager at its Site at Mahlasela Pass. This role plays a vital role in shaping a brand’s image, managing media relations, and overseeing entertainment activities to enhance public engagement. 

Job Responsibilities

You will:

  • Develop and Execute PR Strategies – Create and implement public relations campaigns to promote the company’s brand, products, and events.
  • Media Relations – Establish and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure positive coverage.
  • Crisis Management – Handle negative publicity, address concerns, and develop strategies to protect the company’s reputation.
  • Press Releases & Communications – Write and distribute press releases, speeches, and official statements for company announcements.
  • Social Media Management – Oversee social media presence, create engaging content, and manage online reputation.
  • Brand Representation – Act as the spokesperson for the company at press events, conferences, and interviews.
  • Internal Communications – Ensure employees are well-informed about corporate news and initiatives.
  • Sponsorship & Partnerships – Identify and secure partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations to enhance brand visibility.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in winter resort management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of winter sports and activities.
  • CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Entertainment Management Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Event Planning & Execution – Organize, coordinate, and manage entertainment events, including concerts, shows, and corporate functions.
  • Talent Booking & Coordination – Identify and negotiate contracts with artists, DJs, performers, and other entertainment professionals.
  • Audience Engagement – Develop strategies to attract and retain audiences for entertainment programs.
  • Budget Management – Oversee financial planning, ensuring cost-effective execution of entertainment activities.
  • Venue & Logistics Management – Coordinate event venues, technical setups, and overall event logistics.
  • Entertainment Trends & Market Research – Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative entertainment ideas.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement – Ensure that entertainment programs align with audience expectations and enhance brand loyalty.
