Housekeeping Supervisor

To supervise and coordinate housekeeping operations to ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation, in line with resort standards.

Job Responsibilities

You will:

  • Supervise housekeeping attendants and allocate daily duties. 
  • Inspect rooms, chalets, and public areas to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure rooms are prepared on time for guest arrivals.
  • Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards at all times.
  • Report maintenance faults and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Control and monitor usage of cleaning chemicals, linen, and equipment.
  • Train, coach, and discipline housekeeping staff where necessary.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain housekeeping reports, checklists, and shift records.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent/ Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management (advantageous).
  • At least 2–3 years’ experience in housekeeping, with supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
